ASSESSMENT
The individual would be assessed for technical competence which

COUNSELLING
Usually,
there are various emotional processes a professional passes through while
making a career shift. The Counselling Session would provide the
opportunity to accept reality, build self confidence and guide her/him to
professional growth and new direction.
Counselling
includes making the individual aware of strengths and shortcomings in technical skills as well as behavioural skills
(eg. at functional level recognizing the sub functions where one is not very strong
or at the emotional level, identifying areas to develop like temperament, attitude, emotional quotient etc.)
CAREER GUIDANCE
Career
guidance would include guiding the professional on writing the resume,
highlighting achievement in the career as well as potential for
future opportunities. Guidance on how to search jobs matching professional and personal profile will be given.
One will also be
provided assistance on recognizing his career path and ones various
preferences (financial/geographical etc.) This will be done in a process
that also affirms confidence in ones capacbilities.
The
process would include understanding where the person is at the professional
level and at the emotional level and accordingly directing her/him to find a
new assignment. We would also provide guidance to strengthen professional as well as personal short comings.
Shilputsi's
general market assessment will include career
oriented information like job titles, job description, scope of
responsibility, demands for various kinds of jobs, growth areas, career
trends, remuneration and salary ranges.
Those
seeking alternative career / job options will be guided regarding employer knowledge like corporate culture,
public Vs private sector, stability, size, benefits etc.
METHODOLOGY
All
the above are done through

Tests, questionnaires and exercises which will show orientation towards leadership, teamwork, interpersonal relationships,
personality, competence in understanding people and self
confidence.
